I have gone through a lot of vinyl shower curtain liners in my life, and feel a bit badly about having contributed so much plastic to the landfills. They just don’t stay clean-looking for very long–I’ve tried scrubbing them to little avail, even laundering one in the washing machine, which didn’t work out well.

This is my first fabric liner, and I think it will last longer (and launder more easily) than a vinyl one. Even if it doesn’t, the cost is hardly more than vinyl, but the fabric is much more attractive to look at–it’s definitely nice enough to use on its own!

I’m quite pleased with this purchase and would recommend this product without reservation.

I bought this for a curtain for the bathroom window which is in the shower area. I love it. I cut it off to fit the window. Just the right color I was looking for, needed a yellow color, not to dark or not to light. Nice material also, not the vinyl that you smell for weeks after hanging them.

Needed a shower curtain for a long time. As a guy, I kept forgetting about it. Then on Amazon buying something else, I found this. I thought the price was outstanding and hoped it would be as nice as others had written. Got it in two days and was Amazed by how nice it is. Light enough for a liner, sturdy enough for a stand alone curtain (I used it this way). Love the texture of the fabric. Very water resistant. Water shakes right off. Pleasantly suprised.

This shower curtain is very well made. The fabric is a very high grade polyester that looks great. The bottom hem has a heavy lead-like rope sewn in to keep the curtain in place. No sign of mold/mildew after first month of use. Very pleased.

This curtain is well made out of excellent quality fabric. It fits our standard tub/shower and stall shower well and stays put while you shower. It does not billow and is plenty long enough. The two-tone stripe adds a nice touch to both bathrooms too. Looks very elegant. Much better than the old plastic, moldy liners we had. A nice change that was very reasonably priced. Wish I’d ordered them sooner.

The fabric shower curtain is a great advance over plastic. I noticed that all the hotels were using it. Because it is fabric air can pass through it so dries quickly and mold doesn’t develop. I love it.

This shower curtain works just as I had hoped it would. I had a problem with a plastic curtain leaking water onto the floor. That’s not the case with this item. It has, so far, eliminated my problem. It’s much prettier than the plastic and even glides better on the rod. It has subtle satin stripes running through it. It really does work, even though it is polyester and not vinyl. Also, it hasn’t gotten any mold yet, after a month’s use in our humid climate.

UPDATE: 9-24-08-This product didn’t perform as I had hoped, after all. It is not waterproof. It started to absorb water after I washed it the first time. It’s never performed as it originally did before it was washed. I’ve had to put a vinyl liner behind it to prevent shower water from getting outside the tub.

My husband had heard that vinyl shower curtain liners leach toxic chemicals into the sewer water, and asked me to find a linen one… this one is polyester and works great! Water does not leak out, it does not get that gross mildew stuff on it, and it’s very light and dries fast. We have a small nyc bathroom, and this light, air curtain is much easier to deal with than a liner and a curtain (though you could add a curtain to this, too).

This is a lovely item. The monochromatic woven stripe adds some dimension to this well sized (70 x 72 inch) fabric shower curtain liner. The top gromets and bottom weights provide a nice drape for easy of installation that keep the fabric close to the tub (rather than the bather) when in use. Although not 100 percent waterproof (what fabric curtain is), it’s a good 98 percent waterproof and it’s pretty enough to be a shower curtain…and the price is good. Additionally, I received the item within days of order.

Croscill Fabric Shower Curtain Liner, Linen, 70″ x 72″

Ever had a vinyl shower curtain liner always kick the fancy hooks off the bar when trying to unfold it, and you didn’t want to buy more hooks because so much was spent on the nice ones? I did. And every time I wanted to shower I’d have to be real careful because the ridigidity of the vinyl liner would cause at least one hook to almost release, but usually allow to release two or three. So, naked I would stand in the shower, hooking the curtain back on before I could go ahead and turn on the water.

That is, until I switched to fabric. Now the curtain can be put outside the tub, inside the tub, drawn closed, opened, and those fancy hooks stay right where they ought to. I love it!

This particular curtain has a string of lead weights sewn into the bottom hem, which at first I was concerned about but there’s no evidence of unraveling — I would expect the lead to remain sewn in after several washings if not until the curtain is simply too old to keep around!

Also know that the curtain is not waterproof, it just keeps 99.5% of it on one side which is fine, the curtain feels a bit moist on the other after a shower is all. Light shining through the curtain offers a pleasant glow, like a nice window curtain, which is something I’d never had with any of the many, many vinyl curtains I’ve been through.

I’m a fabric shower liner user for life.
